Crowns

Crowns are used to restore the shape, colour and function of a missing or damaged natural tooth. There are basically three materials from which crowns are made; gold, ceramic and metal-ceramic. Gold and metal-ceramic crowns are extremely durable and are normally used in molars, where the forces from chewing and grinding are most prevalent. Ceramic crowns are often used for the front teeth, since they best resemble natural tooth colour.
